Whether you intend to use Reiki healing for yourself, or with clients when she starts her own practice, there are several things you need to keep in mind.
When you first start, you need to practice regularly for at least three weeks. During these three weeks, your body will cleanse itself of negative energy.
To help the process along, make sure you are getting enough sleep and drinking plenty of water. The 21 days is designed to give each of your seven chakras three days for cleansing.
Practicing Every Day
To further your skills and fine tune your abilities, you need to practice every day. The simple process of going through our daily life impacts us by surrounding us with negative emotions, germs, and energy sucking tasks. By the time we’re ready for bed at night, we pick up negative energy and are running low on energy because it has been taken away from us.
Practicing your wiki skills every day is a way to replace this lost energy and clams the negativity. It’s alright to miss practice every once in a while, but going too long without practicing can be damaging. The negative energies can build up of we don’t practice, eventually clogging our chakras again. If too much time passes without practice, it may be necessary for re-attunement before resuming Reiki practice.
The Ideal Time for Your Reiki Session
It’s understandable that there will be some days when we’re just not able to complete the entire healing process. These are the days where we are most likely to skip are self-healing sessions. Instead of skipping the sessions altogether, use what little time you have two focus healing on the front of your seven chakras. Since a standard Reiki session focuses on the front and back of your chakras with a number of other points in between, this can help you save time.
Working on each chakra for three minutes, you can get the entire session over in 20 minutes. If you’re really in a pinch, you can heal each of the chakras for two minutes a piece, making it possible to complete an entire healing session in 15 minute. 2 to 3 minutes is plenty of time to practice, but whenever possible, devote time to a complete session.
If your schedule means you must practice the shortcut self-healing onto back-to-back days, focus on healing the back of your soccer is on the second day. This will help keep your energy balanced.
Remember, you can combine Reiki healing methods and with other healing modalities. You can use massage therapy, sound therapy, etc. Even doctors and nurses can use it while practicing traditional Western medicine on their patients.
Receiving attunement to any of the levels of Reiki only starts the process of developing your skills. It opens up your energy channels to Reiki at the level you have completed to provide the starting point. You must continue to practice to fine-tune those skills before you can begin practicing on someone else.
